Easy to hook up . Works great, but time will tell . The last one I bought was a different brand and was not available and still working for the last 12 years. I am willing to try something new.

Works well.

I bought this specifically to do away with swapping HDMI cables between the living room TV and the bedroom for the DirecTV box. Well, the splitter was trivially easy to install -- just connect the cables and wall wart power supply. Now, we can watch whatever is playing on the DirecTV box on either TV or both at the same time. Plus, I have two more ports for future expansion. The splitter appears entirely transparent, with both TVs showing no degradation in audio or video. I'm happy!

question

Has anybody used this device to feed HDMI over 200ft Cat5/6 to Black Magic switcher input?
Asked by: Ivan R.
We have tried to run 4 tv's 2 at 50ft and 2 at 100 - 200ft strictly HDMI off of this thing and it usually has an issue where 1 TV will turn off or loose signal. 4 tv's under 50ft usually works fine. Don't know about a single run though. if your converting over to cat 5 it would fall more on the hdmi to cat 5 converter I believe. This does not input or output cat 5/6.

question

by having this splitter how long my HDMI output cable can be?
Asked by: Sohrab K.
40 feet is the longest I would go with HDMI to maintain signal quality. I use a 20 ft output cable with this splitter and it works great. However, if it sits for a long time without a signal going through it...it might go on standby and you'll have to reset the unit.

yes, however some blue lights corresponding to each feed in front of the unit may not turn on even if the unit is working.

question

Will this splitter reset all outputs when a new devise is attached to the output?
Asked by: Anonymous
I agree with Jan on this. It's not always consistent. I find that if the device is powered (like a gopro) it picks it right up. If it's a mini recorder, or a device that runs off of another units power (thunderbolt from a macbook) it might not pick it up.
