The black GoTough Tripod Adapter II for GoPro Camera from FotodioX is an all-metal mount which allows you to attach your GoPro housing or frame to a tripod or other support device that has a standard 1/4"-20 screw. It features built-in tightening thread so no nut is required, and is constructed out of aluminum to be durable while still remaining lightweight. The upright tines of the tripod adapter are placed close together to allow for a good fit and are 'soft treated' to allow for hand tightening of the screw.

does it fit the Hero 4?
Yes, BUT I found it to fit a little snug if you're using the frame to mount your gopro. When I used the frame, it squeezed it a little too much to the point that the button pass-throughs did not function properly. Would be the same with either the gopro 3/3+, most likely. But if you're using one of the plastic enclosure housings, should be fine for any gopro.
