Almost perfect

The track width is not wide enough to place some items facing forward. The track width is the width of the narrow base of a rectangular mount. Items that have the wider dimension going front to back won't work, but if you can rotate the base to have the narrow side front to back then it works. I'd give it a 5 otherwise.

DOES THE JOB

This product is of good quality and expands the use of the hot shoe on my DSLR. I suggest light-weight products only, i.e NOT heavy like LED lights for which there are other alternative for mounting. Best to not put too much pressure on the camera hot shoe.

Good, solid cold shoe bar at a reasonable price for larger LED lighting, monitors and audio gear for mounting on a DSLR or small video camera.

I put flashes along this bar and it extends my ability to have off shoe mounting of flashes.

Does exactly what it supposed to do. Holds all my camera accessories which include a microphone, red dot sight, external battery and a remote camera trigger. Well made and you can attach accessories to the top and also the bottom of the extension, which is a bonus.

It does what it should. That's what you want.

Not much to say here; it's a 12 cold shoe extension. It does what a 12 cold shoe extension should do - without fanfare. You don't even think about it when you use it - which is EXACTLY how it should be. It does its job; no muss, no fuss. I pop a shotgun mic and an ATOMOS Samauri on top of a Canon XA25 or 35 on it regularly. Good value for the $$.

question

Hi,I'd like to attach 4-Canon 600EX-RT's to this. Can this be done right out of the box or is other hardware needed? Also, can this unit be attached to a an umbrella adapter? Thanks.
Asked by: Anonymous
No, it will be just a bit too small. The flash is about 3.1 wide. Times that by four, you will need at the smallest a bar that is 12.4.The rail is 12 inches and the flashes need more space. We do carry one that is 15 inchesAnd a tilt bracket needs to be very strong to hold 4 flashes. I suggest one like Manfrotto makes. And a longer stud for the adapter is better.

question

I would like to extend my 7 monitor so that goes out beyond the camera lens so that when conducting an interview I can sit slightly in front my camera and still see what is on the screen. Would the 12 extension work?
Asked by: Anonymous
Not stabile, sheiking in time of work.
