After being frustrated with the foam windscreen that comes with the Zoom, I decided to upgrade to the Mini Windjammer. The sound quality is noticeably better with it than the foam unit.

Is this compatible with the Tascam Portacapture X8?

Although similar in form factor, the Zoom H5 Zoom H5 4-Input / 4-Track Portable Handy Recorder with Interchangeable X/Y Mic Capsule is roughly 0.5" smaller in width than the Tascam Portacapture X8 6-Input / 8-Track Handheld Adaptive Multitrack Recorder. As the Rycote Mini Windjammer for Zoom H5 Digital Recorder is made specifically for the size of the Zoom H5, it may have trouble fitting onto the Tascam X8 in a similar manner.
