I use my Zoom H1N as an external mic with a gopro when doing interviews. These interviews are always outdoors and consequently wind can be an issue. Although you can still hear the results of blowing wind (trees rustling etc) the actual wind noise itself is nonexistent. The deadcat fits very snug on the H1N. I really couldn't ask for anything more. I actually have 2, Zoom H1N hand held recorders and both are Rycote Zoom H1N Mini Windjammer equipped. There are less expensive options out there, but I prefer to use what I know will do the job. Oh by the way, they might require a little finesse to slip them on since they fit so good. But, that's one reason why they do their job so well.

It sometimes is a little bit of a pain to put it on but it does work well. It also helps is you are doing interviews as a pop filter.

You can use the Auray WRF-H1 Foam Windscreen for Zoom H1/H1n (B&H # AUWRFH1) under the Rycote Zoom H1n Mini Windjammer.
