    Lowepro LP36777 reviews

Pro Trekker 650 AW Camera and Laptop Backpack (Black) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge bag, Well built This bag is exactly what I was looking for. It swallows gear. I can hold three pro DSLR bodies, a 24-70 on a body, a 200 F2.0 on another body, a 70-200, a 135 F2, a 85mm 1.8, a Speedlite (580exII) and a ton of other accessories and have plenty of room. This is easily the largest bag that I have used and you better be prepared to carry a large load on your back if you fill it up. The suspension is nice and cushioned and very adjustable, but regardless, this will be very heavy when full. As long as you know that you want something so big and are capable of carrying it, this bag is sturdy, comfortable, and well built.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as good as AW600 The bag is basically the same as the AW600 but with a few changes = but for negative. The change that I disliked the most is the changes on the side of the bag. The AW600 I could put my tripod on either side of the bag as well as the rear of the pack. On the AW650 you can only place your tripod on the rear of the bag. It may not seem like a big deal but even carbon fiber tripod ways 5 lbs and by placing the tripod on the rear of the pack works against the zipper of the bag eventually causing zipper failure. Plus basic physics tells you don't want weight placed on the rear of the bag. Another reason the rear tripod mount does not work for me is I ride my motorcycle in certain hard to reach areas.....so the AW650 is a no go for me. So I returned the 650 and bought the 600. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big enough for 4x5 I bought this to pack a 4x5 monorail into the field. Lots of room for my camera, three lens, spot meter, roll film back and 4x5 film holders, as well as a big tripod strapped to the outside. Side pockets carry odds and ends (bug spray, etc.) and top removable fanny pack is an added bonus, although I am not sure what I will use it for yet. A solid pack that I suspect will carry more weight than I will be able to carry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality bag Well made bag with ample space. I use this for my canon 5d and numerous lenses with ample extra space. I also sometimes use it for my Blackmagic Ursa mini pro, brick batteries, lenses and accessories. It is quite large and has some weight to it, but if you have a lot of gear, or have some photo gear, but then need room for additional general items (food, camping gear, jackets, overnight items, etc), it might be the right choice. There are enough, but having a few more internal dividers might have been nice, and since the bag is so deep, having a mechanism to keep the items "down" might be nice. But, hey, overall, great bag, great value. 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One bag for everything After getting tied of going on trips with multiple bags or cases I decided it was time to get one that would fit the lot... 2 bodies, 500 f/4 plus 3-4 other lenses. No option to see the bag in person so I was a little concerned how big it would be when looking at the Lowepro product photos, it’s big but the guy in the photos mustn’t be. 6’4” (193cm) & 220lbs (100kg) and it fits me fine without looking like I’m carrying my house. Of course, fully loaded it’s heavy but perfect for car or boat based photography where you want to have the “just in case” gear with you. Sits comfortably on my back & has plenty of extra features for add-ons and bits & pieces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pro Trekker 650 AW First impression- its huge. Its heavy! Its a very well made large bag that will fir all your kit and more. I dont think its conducive to humping around on a longer trek as its really heavy. Your camera however will never be safer as this bags really robust. There are plenty of pouches and cavities to store everything and more in one place. Overall a great bag.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's spacious, but not practical... It works as it advertised; you can fit pretty much anything inside this bag. On the other hand, it's not practical at all, especially the laptop part. You have to deattachthe top part in order to access inside and the laptop part(check the pictures). If you decide to not use the top part, you can take it off but then the laptop compartment is exposed at the top, what was lowepro thinking? Moreover, the laptop compartment stays in place only by a small clip that is poorly attached to the top of the bag(check pictures). Overall, I'm kind of disappointed with this bag, but for what you pay I guess it's a bit fair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice solution for Medium Camcorders and Cine Cameras I have used a 400AW over the past five years to haul about 40 lbs of DSLR equipment into the field and the pack has held up well. I just purchased the 650 AW to carry video equipment into the field. It was the only backpack I could find that was capable of storing a URSA Mini or medium sized camcorder as well as a field recorder, video recorder, lenses, headphones, batteries, and cables with room to spare. Black is okay but I favor the older color combination used for the 400 and 600 AW for wildlife photography. I liked the buckle on the breast strap of the 400 and 600 packs. I'm not sure about the fastener on the 650 but will most likely get accustomed to it in time. I paired the 650 AW up with a beefy Feisol CT-3472 carbon fiber tripod and a Sirui VH-10 fluid head. This lightweight combination fits well on the back of the pack.
