Utilizing a multi-layer coating process for consistent color rendition from lens to lens the Rokinon 85mm T1.5 Cine DS Lens answers the challenge of assembling a set of lenses over time. The lens comes in Micro Four Thirds Mount and it features industry standard geared focus and iris rings that share common position with other Rokinon Cine DS lenses. To aid focus pullers who have to work both sides of the lens, the aperture and focus scales are marked on both sides of the lens.

This 85mm lens produces a 14.4° angle-of-view when used with Micro Four Thirds sensor cameras. Hybrid aspherical lenses render sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion and chromatic aberrations, with a minimum focus distance of 3'6" from the lens. A removable lens hood provides flare protection when shooting without a matte box and the lens's threaded front accepts 72mm filter rings.
UMC Lens Coating
Ultra Multi Coated lenses minimize flare and ghosting, and the lenses are color matched to a standard eliminating the need to acquire an entire set of lenses at the same time.
Industry-Standard Gearing
Industry-standard gearing for focus and aperture rings. Each lens in the Rokinon DS series share common focus and iris gear ring positions, which speeds up lens changes as accessories such as follow focus units or iris motors don't have to be re-positioned.
Smooth and Versatile
Declicked aperture ring for smooth iris pulls. A removable lens hood provides flare protection without a matte box.
Fast Aperture
The lens opens up to T1.5, providing the capability for low light shooting or creating extremely shallow depth of field.

Every now and then I get impressed with a bit of gear. I am impressed with this mattebox.
I shoot in the wind, rain, snow. I lug gear on my back, on a pack animal and in my hand. Swamp, desert, rain forest, glacier, and studio. This matte box scores home runs in weight, ruggedness, compactness, versatility, and it actually blocks the un-wanted light.
Filter change and access is reliable and quick. Today the snowflakes (water type) were working hard to attach themselves to the lens,
the French flags made it difficult for them.
If you need a tax deduction, buy several. If you want a versatile and effective matte box where ROI rules this is the one.

question
I've heard using full frame lenses on m4/3 sensors can result in an unsharp image. I know the I know there are versions of this lens that are full frame... but has this been made specifically for m4/3 (GH4)?
Asked by: Anonymous
Full frame camera lenses, with the appropriate adapters, work perfectly on MFT sensor cameras. In this case Samyang, the maker of Rokinon lenses, makes basic lenses that are assembled into bodies meant for any number of particular lens mounts. Since these basic lenses they use cover full frame, they easily cover MFT. In any event, for all intents and purposes this can be considered a lens built for MFT camera's such as the GH4.

Asked by: ryder
No, it initially uses Micro 4/3 lenses because it is a 4/3 sensor. But if you purchase an EF mount adapter it will work. so Get a Micro 4/3 to EF Mount
