This close-up lens mounts to the original lens' 72mm front filter threads and increases the magnification ratio to benefit macro shooting applications. Using this with the Pana Leica 100-400 m1. Opens up a whole new world for tiny insect photography without spending big bucks on a dedicated lens. I have an older achromatic lens but this one has better color and is noticeably sharper as well.
There is not much to say other than that it is the optical and aesthetic quality I am used to enjoying from Sigma. (I have ten lenses from Sigma [eight of them are Art lenses], not to brag, but to give a little background about my experience with Sigma.) Love it.
