Does the scanner work for scanning photos?
One of the other purchasers commented that the photo quality is not archival, and there are scanners on the market which are geared to be photo quality scanners, which would be correct. I would suggest a purchaser answer the question of to what use they are intending to put this small portable scanner. My use is to scan documents (including photos if applicable) when away from my office - not as an archival quality copier.

How is the scan quality for documents, when compared to a flat bed scanner? I ask since I mainly need to scan documents and print them, and the scanned print must be very good.
how do the other brands compare? (brother, epson)
ScanSnap hardware and software are by far the best! Scan quality can be adjusted with the software. Software is loaded with scanning, saving and editing options. Don't bother spending $ on the other scanners.

Yes, as long as they are not embossed, and you do not flip up the rear paper guide so the paper path is flat.

when scanner is solid light, works fine. Sometimes, power light is blinking why does it not allow scanning?
Not totally sure but from the Fujitsu support website they say if battery light flashes orange, to attach a USB cable and give it a charge. When charged, the battery light should be blue

Does this scanner run with a Twain Driver? I need to use it with a program like Kurzweil 1000, and they say I need to have any scanner with a Twain Driver in order for it to work.
