This B&H Kit includes the Rode VideoMic GO camera-mount shotgun microphone and an Auray custom furry windshield, providing a simple mic setup for quality indoor or outdoor audio recording using any camcorder or HDSLR camera that supplies plug-in power. The Auray windshield slips over the VideoMic GO to deliver effective wind noise reduction and minimal high-frequency loss without impeding the microphone's shockmount or cable run.
Rode VideoMic GO Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone
Longer than Rode's VideoMicro and with a narrower pickup pattern, the Rode VideoMic GO camera-mount shotgun microphone offers enhanced off-axis rejection for tighter directionality. Like the VideoMicro, it runs on plug-in power and has no controls or switches, making it well suited for mobile journalists, vloggers, and run-and-gun shooters in a hurry. This compact and lightweight shotgun microphone features an integrated shockmount that mounts directly to your DSLR, mirrorless, or video camera and reduces noise from vibrations and camera handling. The windscreen design reduces wind noise, making it well suited for outdoor shoots. The detachable coiled 3.5mm TRS cable ensures easy hookup to your camera, and the dual-mono output means that no channel selection is necessary on your recording device.

Auray Custom Windbuster for Rode VideoMic GO
The Auray WSW Series Custom Windbuster provides dual-layered wind protection and is designed to substantially reduce unwanted broadband wind noise and vocal pops with minimal high-frequency loss.
This Custom Windbuster has been tailor-made to fit the VideoMic GO and is designed to be used over its existing foam windscreen. The simulated fur outer layer works in tandem with the acoustic cloth inner lining to protect the microphone element from air bursts without muffling the sound.
When used on the VideoMic GO, this windbuster is effective in minimizing wind noise and plosive sounds. It is most effective in light to moderate breeze conditions (4 to 17 mph) and users can generally expect a 30 to 40 dB reduction in wind noise with modest dampening of high frequencies. For most applications, the modest high-frequency dampening is a worthwhile exchange for the substantial wind noise reduction. In addition to dual-layered wind protection, the Windbuster helps prevent moisture and dirt from damaging your microphone.
The Custom Windbuster for Rode VideoMic GO shotgun microphone offers an extremely effective dual-layered solution for wind protection.
