The Spektrum DX6 6-Channel DSMX Transmitter is a radio controller designed primarily for RC aircraft - including helis, airplanes, and sailplanes. It can also be used to operate some terrestrial RC vehicles as well as certain 2- and 3-axis gimbal stabilizers for video cameras. The transmitter supports control Modes 1 through 4 - Mode 2 is the most widely used in the U.S., and puts the throttle on the left. It features memory spaces for 250 models, plus there is an SD card slot for increasing memory capacity, transferring settings from other transmitters or a computer, and updating the firmware (card available separately). A wireless trainer link allows the DX6 to be bound with a second transmitter so that an instructor can quickly take over when necessary during a class. The transmitter is DSMX/DSMX-compatible, and uses a 2.4 GHz band radio.
Four AA batteries are included, or you can use a rechargeable battery pack (available separately) to power the transmitter.
Using the voice alert system, you can program the DX6 to tell you when specific telemetry values reach or exceed limits you define. You can also have it call out a sequence of telemetry values on demand with the flip of a switch. If you want to review telemetry after a flight, the DX6 can be set up to record the data to an SD card (available separately)
