This white, 41" Profoto Deep Medium Umbrella is unique in that it is lightweight yet deep and parabolically shaped. The deeper shape gives the photographer better control of the light spread. It also allows the photographer to focus and shape light by simply sliding the umbrella shaft in its holder. This white version creates a soft but still direct light, perfect for portrait and beauty shots. Attach the optional diffuser for a softer, more even light spread.

I am a long-time B&H customer, and I have NEVER submitted a poor review. But I need to do so for Profoto. I bought two of these umbrellas. One works fine, but the other doesn't. It randomly snaps shut during the shoot. I called into tech support and then said to submit a claim and they would replace it. I did just that. Several weeks later, they asked me to send the umbrella in. I did so, but then got a bill for more than the umbrella had originally cost! I asked why, and they said it was now out of warranty. I'll find a different company to use for my umbrellas (and, going forward, my flashes as well).
Love it! Its more efficient since it grabs more light from your bulb. More directional due to the deep parabolic design. Also it minimizes lens flare because the light is deep in the umbrella (less stray light from your strobe). Good build quality, nice case.
