This white, 41" Profoto Deep Medium Umbrella is unique in that it is lightweight yet deep and parabolically shaped. The deeper shape gives the photographer better control of the light spread. It also allows the photographer to focus and shape light by simply sliding the umbrella shaft in its holder. This white version creates a soft but still direct light, perfect for portrait and beauty shots. Attach the optional diffuser for a softer, more even light spread.

Deep Medium Umbrella (41", White) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The umbrella every photographer should have with him The Profoto deep medium umbrella provides soft window-like light that is great for indoor or outdoor portraiture. Since it is parabolic in shape and that you can focus the light gives me even more control on how I light my subject. The larger the light source is, the softer the light. But the deep umbrellas are quite focused because they are parabolic. They are easy to carry, setup, and take down. I have two of these deep medium umbrellas and provide lighting that is simple but yields beautiful results. I use my umbrellas with the Profoto B2. You will not be disappointed with this umbrella and the quality and durability of this Profoto product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Portable, Lightweight, and Great Quality I've been using this on location mostly for individual portraits and it has been fantastic. One of the first things I noticed is the construction and how well this umbrella is compared to others I've used in the past. The size is really perfect for travel and works amazing with the B1 system. I also purchased the diffuser and it adds such a nice softness to the images especially at close distance. I only wished for the cost of the umbrella that they would include the diffuser. Overall, this has been the go-to umbrella for the key light. It's a little pricey but absolutely worth it, in my opinion!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful modifier I fell in love immediately with this umbrella. The light wraps around the subject in a beautiful way. I haven't seen this before. I imagine is similar to a deep octa. Other great aspect is that I don't need a specific adapter to use on my strobes so I can use it with any brand and super easy. I recommend this strongly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Quality Octalike Umbrella Yes this thing is expensive, and yes it's pretty amazing too. I bought this for two reasons, 1: I wanted a portable soft light source that give beautiful light quality and 2: an umbrella that is little stronger that can take a bit more abuse. It's definitely both of those things! The optional front diffuser cover is a must in my opinion to optimize the light quality. A couple negatives, besides price, the front diffusion should have came with it and I wish the umbrella shaft came apart so it's shorter like the photojournalist softlighter. If you're wondering I own both the softlighter and this and I'd say they are both amazing but this provides a little more light control in its direction (more spill with the softlighter, and the profoto is built way better. Would have been 5 star if the diffusion came with it and the shaft unscrewed for a shorter profile. But I'll give it a 5 star for its build, ease of use/portability and beautiful light quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I have to admit that I was a little hesitant about buying an umbrealla from Profoto as the cost was much more expensive than other umbrellas that I have had. I am pleased to say that this umbrealla is great! It is the deep octa, so you can control the direction of the light and the quality is awesome! The construction is top-notch and the unit fits on my B1 very well. I have used it for a couple of shoots and it's so easy to set up as opposed to a Softbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Singing in the Rain! Love it! Its more efficient since it grabs more light from your bulb. More directional due to the deep parabolic design. Also it minimizes lens flare because the light is deep in the umbrella (less stray light from your strobe). Good build quality, nice case.
