The Illuminator Arm worked well for me doing portraits at a local Catholic School . It was easy to set up and easy to adjust. Free next day shipping was a plus.

It can be inserted into the knuckle of a c stand arm. I have used it in this manner to hold a reflector and have the ability to move the illuminator arm up, down, etc.

Will the Westcott Illuminator Arm Extreme fit a Promaster Deluxe Light Stand LS-2n?
Asked by: Walter
Yes, the ball-joint mount will fit any 5/8" standard dia. light stand shaft, which the Promaster has. It does not attach to the threaded stud, but slips over it and is secured by a setscrew on the collar.

question

Does it clamp strongly enough to not swing around in a slight wind with a 48x72 reflector/diffuser?
Asked by: Cameron
The unit I received certainly clamps strong enough to prevent rotation, however, at 24 Sq. ft. of surface area on this sail , I imagine that even a slight breeze would create a concern of tipping despite sand bags
