An Inexpensive Assistant.

Can Even Hold a Background

This heavy-duty unit fits reflectors from 30" all the way to 6'. This will even hold Wescott's largest collapsible backdrop

Exact Positioning

The all-metal double ball joint allows for exact positioning of your reflector. Place a reflector overhead, tilt it to the side or place it flush up and down, with a simple turn of the double ball joint

Telescopic for Travel

This unit collapses down to only 34" making it ideal for travel. Open length is 6'.

Heavy-duty Clips

Two heavy-duty spring clips allow you to grasp onto the reflector frame and lock it into place. A custom-designed channel in the clip makes sure the frames secure in place without shifting or moving

Fits Virtually any Light Stand

Will Take a Beating

This unit has been a staple product for many years and has proven year-after-year to be one of the toughest reflector arms out there.

What is the purpose/use for the end opposite of the one with the standard 5/8" spigot?
Asked by: Jeff
It can be inserted into the knuckle of a c stand arm. I have used it in this manner to hold a reflector and have the ability to move the illuminator arm up, down, etc.

Will the Westcott Illuminator Arm Extreme fit a Promaster Deluxe Light Stand LS-2n?
Asked by: Walter
Yes, the ball-joint mount will fit any 5/8" standard dia. light stand shaft, which the Promaster has. It does not attach to the threaded stud, but slips over it and is secured by a setscrew on the collar.

question

Does it clamp strongly enough to not swing around in a slight wind with a 48x72 reflector/diffuser?
Asked by: Cameron
The unit I received certainly clamps strong enough to prevent rotation, however, at 24 Sq. ft. of surface area on this sail , I imagine that even a slight breeze would create a concern of tipping despite sand bags

question

What is the minimum sized relector that can be held between the two clamps? I have Westcott's 30-inch Illuminator series (6 in 1). Their non-extreme version mentions it can work with the 30-inch units, but this unit doesn't (also checked their web site). For just one dollar more than their other version, hoping this can work since it seems more versatile. Thanks.
Asked by: Ricky
The clamps can be set at about 9 apart at a minimum.
