    ProAm USA DVC210 reviews

Orion DVC210 8' DSLR Camera Crane / Jib is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jib, THE Best for the Money! After buying and using smaller jibs in the 4-6' range, I finally just had to have something bigger. After much research I settled on the ProAm DVC210. I also ordered the 4'extension adn cable support, so I now have a stable 12' jib, (AWESOME). I use for weddings, corporate and industrial jobs. The use is limitless if you use your imagination. It does take considerable extra time to plan for transport, setuop/takedown, not to mention allowing space to actually use it on a job. But when it all comes together, it's worth the effort...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Purchase, Be prepared with a strong Stand/Tripod I have been using the ProAm Jib to shoot digital tours and indie films. I have to say that it is very quick to set up even with its first use (set-up time of roughly 5 - 10 minutes) It has a nice strong quality to it and gives multiple mounting options for both cameras and the crane its self. This Jib has a great weight mounting system that provides an extensive amount of area to hang weights to counter balance the camera. It also takes beautifully smooth pans and tilt shots while keeping the camera successfully level with its target. Also the bubble level key chain was a nice mini bonus but its chain broke almost immediately... (has nothing to do with actual Jib) I wish that this product came with the options of bundle purchasing a stand, carrying case and other add-ons that Pro Am itself offers in a booklet that ships with the Jib. Also the Handle is a bit loose (I may just have to re-tighten mine) and I often do not rely on it but instead guide the jib by its primary extension for most shots. You will also want a strong stand for this, it is a heavier piece of equipment. In all totally worth the purchase, a great fluid functioning Jib.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S-m-o-o-t-h Use it for infomercials and special event shows. It sets up very quickly. Is light weight but well built. What is NOT so great is the screw tap holes. They all seem easy to strip out. Have not done that yet thank goodness. Best thing of all is the lightweight. We use it on a modified Manfrotto Heas/Tripod. The Fluid Damping makes it so smooth.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a fan, owned it for three years. The separate control arm for the angle control of the camera, is absolutely impossible to control smoothly. The one flimsy control arm and the way it the jib connects to the tripod mount make for unstable shooting, especially if you get close to the 10lb threshold. I had to work very hard to make this jib work for me, and got some useable shots, but it was a struggle. I'd recommend buying something more sturdy and even a little heavier. This thing is just flimsy. Do not buy the awful plastic jib legs by ProAM, use tripod legs instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jib This is my first time purchasing a jib. I was concerned about the quality at that priced but is surprised so far by its good performance. I purchased the 4’ extension for a better reach and the jib stand for my church. ProAm Motorized tilt head sits on the end of it with my GH5 attached. I wished the strengthening cables were sold with the jib. Don’t make it an option. I will pay the additional funds. The connection between the stand and the jib could’ve been more sturdier. The tilt brake seem to have little or no effect on the jib but it may be the result of the weight we have on it. To break the jib down isn’t a long process. I did it by myself less than 20 minutes or fewer. Setting up for the first time was ok once I stuck to the manual. Overall it works for what we need it for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Crane for the Money Good product with quality construction. Easy to put together and use. Hand tilt was a little stiff, but over time it loosened up. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase of the crane.
