UPS kept shutting down, now it doesn't.

The battery pack in the UPS had aged out and wasn’t holding a charge. A new battery pack was installed, and the UPS is charged. Unfortunately, there is no battery pack replacement for the BR24BPG unit.

APC batteries always outlast the cheaper generics out there. I always get more usage than the warranty period

How long should this battery last? I've used the one that came with APC Battery Back-UPS Pro BX1500M for just under 2 years and the battery is already dead / needs replaced; is this typical?

Can I use this as a direct replacement for rbc123? It seems only that I may get about 28.5% extra time/capacity as 9ah vs 7ah.

This is a direct fit for the unit and replaces RBC123 directly. Time remaining will look shorter than actual if the unit is designed for the lower capacity unit, but time is extended. I replaced the unit long after warranty expired so was not an issue for me.

The APC Replacement Battery Cartridge #124 is not compatible with the SMT1500C. The SMT1500C uses the RBC7 Battery Cartridge (B&H # APRBC7).
