The Nikon COOLPIX A Digital Camera with DF-CP1 Optical Viewfinder Kit from B&H combines the advanced compact camera with the DF-CP1 external optical viewfinder to enable eye-level viewing during shooting. The viewfinder attaches to the camera via its hot shoe and simulates the same angle of view as the built-in lens. When paired with the camera, this viewfinder better enables working in bright conditions and when working with fast-moving subjects.
The COOLPIX A features a 16.2MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 2 image processor to produce high resolution, well-detailed still imagery at a up to 4 fps, expandable sensitivity to ISO 25600, and full HD 1080p video recording at 30 fps. The built-in NIKKOR 18.5mm f/2.8 prime lens provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 28mm, giving a general wide angle of view for everyday shooting applications. The 3.0" 921k-dot LCD monitor enables live view monitoring, image playback, and menu navigation for employing an array of camera features such as Active D-Lighting and six different Picture Control settings. The camera body is constructed from an aluminum alloy frame with a magnesium alloy top cover for improved durability and a manual focus ring is incorporated into the design for more intuitive manual focusing akin to working with a DSLR.
