    Yongnuo YN-565EX N reviews

YN-565EX N Speedlite for Nikon Cameras is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy I owned flash this for approximately 2 months and it stopped working. Unfortunately B&H only warranties their products for 1 month. I contacted Yongnuo who told me they only warranty their products if purchased from their own website. So on the whole $81 I paid for the flash for 2 months of very minimal usage (maybe 15 photos) is not much of a bargain. I strongly recommend against dealing with this company. I believe they have discontinued manufacturing this flash, probably because it is unreliable as noted by some other reviews, but any company that will not stand behind its product is also unreliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for your bucks!! I have been a professional photographer for 15+ years. I primarily photograph residential real estate for agents and events such as corporate meetings and award ceremonies. Love these flashes! I bought these not really expecting much and figured at the price of $ it wouldn't hurt my equipment budget if they ended up not working. I bought two and I'm thinking of getting two more.I mainly use them in manual and like that they go down to 1/128.The loud signal that these flash give off really help when I use these as secondary lights with a remote. TTL seems to work well, however I always prefer to shoot in manual both flash and camera.Good to have in your kit as backup or for kickers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from None OEM done right, really right! This is such a great product! I use this product for events and weddings and occasionally for creative projects. I shoot with Nikon D800, D750, D600 and have used this flash on all. The output and recycle time is very good! I have not had one problem so far. I have owned the Nikon SB700 (Sold) and still own two YongNuo YN-468 II i-TTL for over a year. The two previous Yongnuos I own have performed on par with the SB700 with slight differences in performance with the SB700 performed better in recycle time and consistency but not to the point where it should cost 3 times as much. The YN-565 performs, in my opinion much better than the SB700 and YN-468 even thought the former still perform awesomely. The output from this flash is great and comparable to SB700 or even better. I would totally recommend these flashes for anytype of work especially weddings. If you are looking at the Nikon version I would say buy three of these instead. My only discrepensy that I have with this flash is the power on off botton is not a switch like the nikon flashes, it is a push button. This can take a few precious seconds to turn on which is extremely annoying when on the go. But you can work through this, I learned how and is not so much a problem that effects my work but just annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine For the price, it's terrific. It doesn't have the laser low light display in any mode other than A, no high speed synch, and the manual is poorly written. These are not concerns to me-just mentioning it if it'as a concern to you. It's easy to figure out the slave and other custom functions with Youtube videos. I'm a semi-pro photographer, and am trying it as my main on camera flash, with my faithful SB-800 now as a backup, since my SB-700 gradually failed after only two years. It takes 4 seconds from turning it on till it flashes, and the recycle time is perhaps 3 seconds with fresh batteries, and 4 seconds after many flashes, so carry extra batteries if you take a lot of flash photos.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value for the money! It took quite a while for B&H to get the unit in stock, but it was worth the wait. I have several of these 565's that support i-TTL and a bunch of 560 IIIs and IVs that are the manual variety. I really think the Yongnuo product line is well worth the money, considering the cost of OEM hardware. I use these off camera with the YN - 622 triggers and the TX transmitter, and they work flawlessly. There have been reports of some Yongnuo units being DOA or failing after a couple hundred flashes, but I have never had one fail me yet. My advice, get a few of them and always carry a spare. The only downside to this model (565) is that it does not support high speed sync mode, so if you need that specific function you need to look elsewhere. For the money, and with support from B&H, you can't go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE MY NEW FLASH! I am a Real Estate Agent in Savannah, GA. I have a nice Nikon camera and I am learning about how it works. I was having problems with needing more light in the home pictures I was shooting. So, I called B&H and they recommended the YN-565EX. It has been so easy to attach and begin using. I am certain it does a lot more than I will ever need, but it works great, it was not too costly and the batteries I am using don't wear out easily! B&H excellent consultation, provided speedy delivery and I am very happy with the flash! Cheers Jeff Geyer Keller Williams, Savannah

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great when it works Before purchasing this flash I had read several reviews along with watching a few video reviews. I was very pleased with this flash when I received it, build quality was good and it felt sturdy when attached to my Nikon D5300. The light was clean and recycle time was sufficient. This is NOT a pro flash and should not be considered as an inexpensive alternative. I have several SB910's that I use with my Nikon D810, but I wanted something lighter and smaller. This fits that requirement. Now, why just two stars... The unit was defective. As soon as you put batteries in the flash you could hear the unit powering up even when it was turned off. It essentially stayed in a standby mode. I called B&H customer service and quickly had this issue resolved (the reason I only shop at B&H, great customer service). I'm sure I was just unfortunate to receive a defective unit, but when I used the flash I was very pleased with the performance. If you're looking for a good flash without spending a fortune, this is what you're looking for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great alternative to expensive Nikon lenses I'm thrilled with this flash. It has worked great for me so far. Being rather new to flash photography, I was pleased that this flash has TTL functionality as well as manual that I can learn. Can't go wrong for the price. The only downside is the reference manual is a bit difficult to understand . It's a little more of a learning curve if you want to dig deeper into what the flash can do.
