IndiPRO Tools P411C Overview

This IndiPRO Tools AC Power Supply with a Dummy Battery lets you conveniently power most cameras that use Canon LP-E6 batteries directly from a wall outlet, allowing for continuous power at an event or in the studio. The power cable runs 8 ft long so you'll have enough length to move around.

On one end this handy power supply features an LP-E6-type dummy battery, and the other end has a standard US power plug. At the same time it supports worldwide 100-240V power input (using optional plug adapters). Some cameras may not be compatible because the battery doors may not support proper dummy battery use.

I purchased one of these and thought it was a dud. Disappointed, I purchased another off-brand power supply for my Canon 80D and that was a dud too, I decided I had enough of the off-brands PSs and looked at the real deal, a Canon PS, but it was $$$. While reading the reviews for the Canon power supply, one owner mentioned the need for camera's battery compartment door to be closed in order for the camera to power up. BINGO! Problem solved!

I bought this to use my 80D as a webcam for the Year of Zoom. Works perfectly and no worry about a battery draining while on a call.

Canon 5D MkIV has a little rubber gasket that you fold over under the battery door. in order to run a dummy battery.

It should. It should work for any camera that uses LP-E6 and LP-E6n batteries. I used it for the Canon 5Diii and EOS R.
