Pentax designed the 8x42 S-Series SD WP Binoculars for a lifetime of rugged outdoor use in all weather and lighting conditions. The 42mm objectives are fully multicoated to reduce reflection and maximize light transmission through the entire optical path. Its roof prisms are phase-corrected to correct for chromatic aberrations, ensuring bright and clear high-contrast images with true color rendition in even low light. Its general purpose 8x magnification brings subjects close while maintaining a wide 60° angle of view to preserve situational awareness.

is the minimum focus distance of more than 56 feet correct? That would make these the longest focusing bins in history.

Is the the carrying case of good quality? Does the carrying case have a strap (as stated in the "In The Box" section), or NO strap (as stated in Michael's review)? Please clarify.

The case I received with these binoculars in June 2020 has no strap and no means of attaching one unless you want to sew one on.

Is the interpupillary distance adjustable to fit the varying distances of the eyes in wide and/or narrow faces?

The IPD range on these goes from a minimum distance of 5.6cm up to 7.4cm, which as you can see by comparing the IPD with others is a good range for a bin in this class and means they should accommodate most people.
