Would you recommend these for field monitors? Do they block outside noise well?
Asked by: Bill
These ATH m70x headphones do block outside noise very well, and will yield very accurate sound for field monitoring. If you are buying headphones that will be used exclusively for field monitoring, you might also want to consider the ATH-m40x as a less costly option, which also folds down smaller for transport. https://bhpho.to/3LwgMRY

If you're tv has a dedicated headphone output, then sure. Otherwise, a wireless tv listening system would be better to allow for a more enjoyable and controllable listening experience. Here's a suggestion BH #SERS1359ABLK.

Great sounding accurate headphones but not very durable plastic. Yoke broke after 2 years.

question

How do these compare to the M40x in terms of neutrality, accuracy, and mix translation? Which is better for professional video and audio work? (No M50x comparisons please)
Asked by: Charlie G.
If you liked the 40', s then you will simply LOVE the new Audio-Technica ATH-M70x Pro headphones. Overall frequency response is improved with no discernable compromise to efficiency. These will get loud, but will remain virtually distortionless on most content. They weigh only about an ounce more and are still very comfortable even with their larger 45mm drivers. Fairly flat but not a bit bright in the upper midrange. Good detail too.
