With a 5th generation 802.11ac chipset and dual-band connectivity, the USB-AC55 Dual-Band Wireless-AC1300 USB Wi-Fi Adapter from ASUS lets you take advantage of enhanced data transfer rates of up to 867 Mbps. This adapter even enhances wireless-N performance from 300 Mbps to 400 Mbps through the use of 256QAM technology.

Once configured, you can choose between the 2.4 GHz frequency for tasks like Internet browsing and checking email or the 5 GHz frequency for transferring large files, streaming HD content, and other tasks that require a faster data transfer speed. The adapter features a USB 3.0 connector allowing you to take full advantage of the enhanced data transfer rates and also comes with a USB 3.0 cradle making it easy to re-position the adapter to receive a better signal.
