Awesome collapsible design. Sturdy enough for what it needs to be, and stays in place. Easy to pop on and off the screen. Incredible price. It should probably cost a little more.

Great little hood

Great little inexpensive hood that breaksdown flat (and you can remove the 45 degree "extension" section if you only need a square "box" hood). Not sure why another reviewer couldn't figure out how to mount it. It's lightweight so monitor stays in position.�Great on a tripod mounted camera, but probably not great in a run-gun rig situation as it would get knocked off center pretty easily (since it's held on with an elastic band). Not perfect, but better than anything else I've tried.

Does the fabric that folds in on the corners block the image on the LCD screen at all?

No. The fabric fits onto the bezel around the LCD. If you don't have it aligned properly then it could cover part of the LCD, but it is very easy to adjust.
