is this a low noise tube ?
I believe it is. I changed out the tube in my preamp before even using it. It is the Telefunken equivalent to a 12AX7 which is a industry standard preamp tube. Telefunken has been in the high end audio tube business for many many years. I just believe this is the best preamp tube available. The tube i had pulled out was supposedly a selected Chinese 12AX7. Although I do not have the measuring equipment to measure any differences, I am completely satisfied with the ECC83.
