question
Is there an attachable cable release that works with this camera?
I don't know. I use an optional remote instead. Works great.

question
Is this camera only sold with the SMC DA L 18-50 or can it be bought with the HD DA 18-50 as a kit lens instead of the smc version? Thanks
The Pentax K-S2 camera bought was body only, i.e without the lens. However, all my old lenses with K-mount fitted to this new camera.

question
In Bulb mode, is it possible to keep the shutter open as long as you want, or is 30 seconds the maximum in bulb mode too?
for bulb mode you can change the setting so that the lense opens when you press the shutter release, and closes when you press it again. Go to the custom (C) menu page 1. go to Bulb mode options (item 7). Choose 'type 2'. that allows you to have the shutter open for ages. Just know that it eats your battery power quite quickly (I get around 1 hour of play off a full battery). if you are going to keep it open for hours for start trails you will need a power adapter to run the camera on external power. A little tip - there is a risk of camera movement when you press the shutter release to open and close the shutter. To prevent this use the self timer (I use the 2 sec mode) to open the lense, and dont touch the camera to close the lense until you have covered the lense with a matt-black cloth. that way you stop the light from entering before the camera moves under you finger. You could also use the mobile phone coupling function, but I havent tried that yet.Matt black cloths can also be used as a proxy ND graduated filter (if you didnt bring it with you) for landscape shots to prevent a burned out sky in early morning/evening with a long exposure and lots of experimenting. but thats another story.

question
Can I use my old K-mount lenses with this camera?
That is the reason I have stuck with Pentax for the last 30 years. I can still use my dads old Chinon K-mount lenses that he bought in the late 1970s!

This is not an international warranty. However, you can purchase the Squaretrade protection plan which is international.

question
What is the weight of the camera?
Heavier than a 4/3 mirrorless or a point & shoot - you will notice the heft but get used to it - very stable and rock-solid feel to it ...
