question

Is this compatible with Canon 70D? Can this be used as a Shutter Trigger as well as Flash trigger(canon speedlite 430EXII at the same time?
Asked by: Jacob K
Hi Jacob, this item is available for Canon and Nikon. I have a Nikon D800 and it works great as a remote shutter release. I have not tried if as a flash release. A very high quality product. Enjoy. Mickey

question

If I use this remote with the Photogenic AKC 50BK Strobe Kit will this allow me to use flash sink speeds above 250?
Asked by: Dave D.
No, it will not. The Photogenic StudioMax III Constant Color 320 W/S Monolight is a fully manual monolight; it is not a TTL-compatible monolight unit and will not be compatible with High Speed Sync. Photogenic does not manufacture TTL monolights with High Speed Sync capability, and the Vello FreeWave Captain Wireless TTL Triggering System Kit does not add TTL or HSS capabilities to the monolight. However, the units can be used to trigger the monolights wirelessly; you would simply have to set the output power of the flash manually on the unit, and your maximum flash sync speed will be limited to your camera's standard flash sync speed.

question

With these 2 receivers, its possible from transmitter to give different EV values to each flash? Ex. On my 430-exII main light I want to stay zero. On my another 430-exII as rim, I want - 2/3.
Asked by: Pedro O.
No, that would not work. The Vello FreeWave Captain Wireless TTL triggers do not allow different groups, so all flashes on the off-camera remotes would have any EV changes set equally on all off-camera flashes. You would need to purchase a wireless trigger system that allows you to place different flashes in different groups for your stated usage needs.

question

I owned this product for two years and Im planning on switching to Sony cameras. Is there a way to use some or all of the with Sony?
Asked by: Ira S.
If you are purchasing a new Sony camera that uses the Multi-Interface hot shoe, the Vello FreeWave Captain Wireless TTL Triggering System for Canon E-TTL SLRs will fit into the camera's hot shoe. However, as the wireless triggers are designed for Canon E-TTL II automatic flash exposure, and not for Sony's TTL system, do note you will have to set the flash output manually; there will be no TLL automatic exposure when using this on a Sony camera.

question

Would I be able to trigger a second body using the reciever?
Asked by: Sean L.
The first and second camera body would need to have a receiver connected to each of them and would need to be on the same channel as the transmitter.
