question
Seems to only support YUV at 4:2:2 when using 4K (2160p) resolutions. I'm assuming they mean YCbCr which is the correct digital representation of the color space (YUV is technically analog color space). Most gaming video cards output RGB at 4K ... the can be setup to use YCbCr but the color space is not as good as RGB full and will tend to show a more washed out image with less color information ... does anyone know if BMD will release a Intensity Pro with HDMI 2.0 support?
You are correct. We are using more of a broadcast terminology and bandwidths that cover the analog and digital sources. We are unable to speak of future development.

how to instal in to a lenovo think station xeon 6-cores and this works with avid and premier?
Just as long as your computer has a PCI Express port available you will be able to instill this card in to it. It will work with Avid and Premier. The ThinkStation P700, which is a 6-Core Machine, has PCI Expansion capabilities.

Blackmagic Design Intensity pro 4k . I have a question about that card. I have a DVD player and recorder Panasonic DMR-EX 77 which has an HDMI output and when I connect it to the card with an HDMI cable it does not give a picture. I tried the output on the TV and it gives me a picture. Does anyone know what could be. The input on the card is tested with a Sonj 4K camera and gives an image.???
I would check your configuration settings on your software. I’ve found that this is usually the problem.

I know a lot of people will probably think this is going backwards, but if, for just plain nostalgic reasons, you wanted to not only capture from analog SD sources like VHS and output back to VHS, could you do that with this card?
The Intensity Pro 4K from Blackmagic Design comes with a breakout cable allowing for analog connections such as RCA and S-video, which most VHS players output as well. The Intensity Pro has an HDMI port for outputting to other sources, so an HDMI to S-video converter would be needed if the VHS player does not have HDMI as an input.

question
is there a thunderbolt 3 extension chasis for this card or for the sdi version? need for 2 hdmi camera iput to laptop using live stream with tb3 laptop
Thunderbolt 3 is still pretty new and at this time we do not have any expansion chasis products that are Thunderbolt 3. However we do have some Thunderbolt 2 options, such as the Sonnet Echo Express SE II, which can handle 2 PCI cards. We also have an adapter that allows you to use Thunderbolt 1 and 2 devices on a computer with a Thunderbolt 3 connection.
