A low-profile offload dock for your Atomos drive caddies, the Atomos Powered Docking Station will be an elegant addition to your computer desk as well as compact accessory for your transport bag. It supports a single drive caddy at a time and efficiently offloads the drive contents direct to your computer via an integrated USB cable. Both Master Caddy and Master Caddy II models are supported. This powered model is an upgrade over the previous Atomos USB 3.0 docking station, additionally featuring support for an Atomos RAID Caddy power cable for if you ever need to connect a RAID caddy.

The integrated USB cable features one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 connector, with the latter provided for compatibility with older computers. Older computer models may require both ports to be connected for a sufficient supply of power.

Powered Docking Station with USB 3.1 Gen 1 & 2.0 is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Test your unit upon delivery The powered docking station is a must have when purchasing an Atomos Ninja Assassin. Unfortunately mine did not work (new in the box). My SSD would not mount, and would not be recognized by my computer. TIP: If you can place a SSD on your Shogun / Ninja Assassin and are able to reformat and to replay recorded clips, your SSD is fine - the issue is with the dock. I am currently returning my dock and I purchased a replacement dock from a local camera store. My new model works great and transfers large files quickly. Due to the design, I would definitely keep out of the camera bag and by my workstation. The long plastic back panel seems like it would break easily with a little bit of pressure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as Advertised I bought this to use with the Sandisk SSD drive I bought for the Atomos Ninja Assassin. It works very simply - just plug the drive in (docking station is connected via USB3.0/2.0) - the drive mounts immediately. I am very pleased with the product and think it is reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use, must have for atomos users If you use atomos you basically need this. I have another HD reader, but I would need to remove the dive from the caddy all the time. This lets you keep your drive in the caddy. Very lightweight plastic and a bit flimsy, so don't drop it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get one if you have the Shogun (or similar) Works perfectly. I thought I could just use an existing external drive reader -- and I can, BUT I had to un-mount the SSD from the Shogun carrier every time (four little screws is all). Turns out that was such a hassle to encase/remove, repeat that I got this. It's STILL cheaper to get the naked or minimal Shogun package and buy this additionally. Worth it for speed. Now it just plugs into the drive while it's still encased in the SSD sled and done.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy a back-up I had this unit for about 9 months and it died on me while I was out on the road during critical moments. Luckily the SSD drives I had were big and had several of them. I had it shipped to me on the go which was good. B&H were very good at making it all happen. But as for the reader, not too impressed. I don't kick it around or treat it harsh in anyway. Most of the time it was just sitting on my desk and never moved from there to do its work. So when it unexpectedly died on me, I was a little surprised. So I just bout this one and have decided on buying a back-up just in case. $$ is a good price point, but it should be a lot more durable. A sign that it was dying on me was that the drive would occasionally eject itself and reconnect from my iMac. Had I known it was on it's way out, I would have bought one 7 months in instead of the 9 months it lasted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well. I use this with the SSD card and caddy provided by Atomos. The caddy clips in easily to the dock and the uploads are quick and painless. Good form factor and performance, in all relevant aspects.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Atomos Power Docking Station The transfer speeds were slower on a pc vs Mac. Not sure what was up with that when both were usb 3. It gets the job done but it is very flimsy and won't take much abuse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good You will want this. I've used cheap adapters in the past had nothing but problems with them. This dock station is the way to go
