Works perfectly with Sony A7s I. Used over several weeks on reality style shooting in extreme tropical conditions. Was able to run camera almost all day with Atomos recorder on just one 95wh battery.

It works but communicate battery level well with A6300

I use this to power my A6300 via a V-lock battery. Its works ok but i dont think it communicates with the camera very well as the battery percentage remaining is wrong. It drops a lot quicker than it should and then the camera powers down thinking the battery is about to run out after a few hours of use even though the battery still has PLENTY of power left. If you turn camera off and on again the percentage goes back up to the top again and the processes starts again. Not ideal for long setups. The battery im using can power the camera for easily over 10 hours but the camera shuts down due to low battery after a few hours!.

I have an A7s ii and an RX 10 ii and they use the same batterys. So now I can use this device on either camera and have tones of battery life. I've got a couple of pro-x d tap batteries that I can attach at the base of the camera and it all becomes one unit. I shoot wilderness situations and can not run out of power, this is a great back up and a fantastic product. The only annoying thing is that the cable coming out of the camera gets a little squished. There is a little plastic door, on the camera battery door. But its not quite big enough. You have to kinda jam it in, but once you do and get the latch shut, you are good to go. Not sure if it wears on the camera battery door and latch, will have too see over time.

The first IndiPRO cable I had worked for a month or so then one day, I tried booting up my camera and it bricked my A7sii. I had to have a new board replaced in my camera (Thankfully under warranty still) The store that I bought the $95 cable was very good and gave me a new one thinking it must just have been a defective unit. Then tonight I was about to shoot an important function and tried turning on my camera and this time I could smell ozone smoke. Luckily I just tried my Sony battery in the body and it booted up after going through the setup screens. Phew. So far it didn't brick it this time, however I will never trust this product in my A7sii again. Be careful.

question

Can this work on BLUESHAPE'S D-TAP or are these two different types of power? Thanks.
Asked by: Nicholas
Yes it will work, it converts to the proper voltage for the camera, A7S etc. Just plug it into the battery in the D-tap socket.

question

What is the output on this? I'm concerned about it outputting more than the camera can handle.
Asked by: Anonymous
We have one for an A7S2. It is fine, camera has no issue with it. It is regulated so does not put out more voltage than the camera can deal with.
