Tascam AK-DR70C Reviews
I can't figure out how to put it on the unit
This came as a bonus to the purchase of the Tascam DR-70D when I bought it. I've never been able to figure out how to put it on, but I don't intend on using the onboard mics of the unit so it wasn't a big loss for me.
Must have for onboard mics
This is a must have if you're going to be recording with the onboard mics which are very susceptible to wind. The wind furry/deadcat works well. It would be nice if you could buy the wind furry/deadcat without the other accessories, that's my only problem.
Expensive for Bad Engineering
I wanted to protect my built in mics on my D70 so I got this . In one word, cheap. Let start with the windscreen. It covers two XLR ports so they can't be used. Really??? Its made of plastic with some kind of nylon. Its worth about half of what is charged. The two cords mini cable and the shoe mount were not needed but in order to get the windscreen, you get the other stuff, kind of like a prize in the cereal thing.
Nice kit for tascam
Al accessory are very funcionaly
WELL MADE
Useful in certain situations.
A must
Well, if you have the DR-70D you will need this kit.
Sale price makes this a worthwhile purchase
the built-in omni mics are really susceptible to wind noise, and this is worth the money when it is on sale....
when it's on sale, it's worth the money
When it's on sale, it's worth the money, otherwise it is a bit expensive. Even indoors, I'd suggest using this because of the omni mics being so sensitive. The cables are cheap and I would have preferred coiled, but as a throw in for backups, they're better than nothing.
