Nikon P900 reviews

COOLPIX P900 Digital Camera with Accessories Kit is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's everything it's promised to be and more. I've upgraded from a previous Nikon point-n-shoot and even the basic functions have been improved. There are more options to better meet your needs and they're all right where you want them and are used to. I especially like the versatility all in one camera without having to change lenses. So far the only drawbacks are that I would really like to have a manual shutter setting so it can be locked open indefinitely and a leash for the lens cap would be very useful. I was taking pictures at the edge of a bridge yesterday and had to be very careful not to drop it. I may as well order another cap now because with my fumble fingers it's just a matter of time before I lose it. Thank you Nikon and B&H.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Camera I have taken more pictures with this camera than any other I own. Mostly pictures of the moon. The zoom on this camera is just unbelievable! I watched a video on utube, and I could not believe that a camera could really do this. I had to buy it just to see if it was true. And it was! It took a while to get the hang of zooming in and not losing the shot, but once you get that down, your all set. I recommend a tri-pod for moon shots. It makes it a lot easier. I have had so much fun with this camera!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Above and beyond I've now put this camera thru most of it's scenes and set up U and A for my personal preferences. It's a little slow and clunky but I am comparing that to my D7200 which isn't really fair. The results when comparing shot to shot against the 7200 are quite good so if you want a camera with a lot of options (the telephoto out to 2000mm is quite good) and doesn't break the bank this a great buy. The accessory package is an added bonus. In the end when I just want to go for a walk and don't want to carry 40lbs of camera body's and lenses, this is my camera.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Zoom capability; limited manual exposure control The wife wanted this camera for its zoom and video recording capabilities. The 83X optical zoom is amazing for both terrestrial and some astronomical objects (especially the Moon). However, the manual exposure control is limited as the shutter speed and ISO are linked together. Increasing the ISO value reduces the maximum shutter speed. This limited the camera's low light capabilities. The INFinity focus setting is not a fixed value; the camera still does its autofocus searching and depending on the object may set the focus not at infinity. This seems to happen most frequently when trying to image point light sources (like planets). For those wondering about imaging the Moon and planets, when used at full zoom, it is like using a f/6.5, 2000mm focal length telescope.
