The Auray LTS-ST Tripod Base Laptop Stand is a sturdy, versatile, and stable support for a laptop or device weighing up to 45 pounds. The stand's all-metal construction and extra-wide tubing provides strength and stability. The telescoping shaft can be easily adjusted between 29 and 47 inches. Stunning quality for the price

I am actually writing this review with a computer on top of the stand as a type. It is very solid, build quality and I am impressed. We have placed a large MacBook Pro on it with no problems. Note, the attached table does have to be completely removed in order to fold up the stand, and it will hold things like a few papers And maybe a drink but it is not as sturdy as the top

Sometimes we try and over complicate our decisions. Stop DIYing musical stands into laptop stands hehe. This will do the job of holding your computer without breaking a sweat. It arrives well packaged like all items from B&H. Fantastic value that should last you your career!

I use mine for laptops and other percussion gear on stage and it works very well. My wife uses hers in her artist studio to hold paint palette and sketches/photos at proper working height. She loves it!

This stand is well made and sturdy. I could knock it over if I hit it hard enough, as I could with any stand, but I would need to intentionally kick it hard enough to do so. Super nice!

It's a very sturdy stand, perfect for a laptop or keyboard, however, the tray cannot be used in an angled position; extending the tray lip on one side would allow it to be used in an angled position for holding music or other types of controllers thereby making it more versatile.

Will this hold a laptop securely enough to allow grabbing the stand with one hand, and keeping it reasonably level move the stand with laptop to a new location?

The Auray LTS-ST Tripod Base Laptop Stand is very sturdy and solid. I put a ASUS TUF 15" gaming notebook on it and there is no problem carrying it around using one hand.

Will a 17 laptop fit securely upon the top? Mine is exactly 16 1/2 wide and just want to make sure it will fit in between retaining edges. Thank you.

That size laptop wil fit but, you will have a hard time plugging in your power cord and any flash drives due to the edges that secure the laptop in place. Other than that this stand is awesome. Sturdy and durable.
