The BV8 head features a 5-step counterbalance system to dial in the correct amount for your setup, and independent 4-step pan and tilt drag settings for precise control over camera movements. A Manfrotto 501/504PL compatible sliding quick release plate is provided. question
Besides the 2kg difference in load capacity, are there any other major or key differences between the BV8 and BV10? Will I be sacrificing more than just load capacity? Is the BV10 just overall better-made?
With these two heads, the build quality is good on both so really the difference is the capacity. Personally, I like more capacity for I find it makes for smoother moves.

question
What is the difference between this head and the newer BV8 by Benro?
As this is the only BV8 that we can find information on we unfortunately cannot articulate any difference. It can be said however, that newer versions of products have improvements at the very least make the products better to use and in the long run are good investments.

question
What is the difference between this head and the older H8 from Benro?
The tripod spreader and legs work much better. The QR plate changed from a top release to a Manfrotto standard. The head's settings are more precise.
