ASUS X751LX Overview

This dark gray 17.3" X751LX Laptop from ASUS features a 17.3" widescreen matte IPS display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1920 x 1080 native resolution. Powered by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics card with 2GB of discrete memory, you'll be able to smoothly play Full HD 1080p at its native resolution. You can also output video to a larger external display via the HDMI port.

The system is powered by a dual-core 5th generation Broadwell 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7-5500U processor. It also has 8GB of DDR3L RAM, a 1TB 7200 rpm hard drive, a SuperMulti DVD burner, a 2-in-1 SD & MMC media card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, an integrated VGA webcam, and a microphone. There are also built-in stereo speakers.

Windows 8.1 is the installed operating system. Windows 8.1 improves the user experience of Windows 8 with several additions and changes. The Start button returns, but has two limited core functions. A left click takes you to the redesigned Start screen featuring tiles that update in real-time. A right click brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel, and more. You will also be able to boot directly to the traditional desktop screen instead of the Windows 8.1 Start screen. Windows 8.1 provides a unique user experience that differs from previous versions of Windows.

Included with the X751LX are an AC adapter, a power cord, and a 4-cell / 37Wh Lithium-ion battery that lasts for up to four hours before recharging is required.

The ASUS X751LX houses a 5th-gen Haswell Intel Core i7-5500U processor. Its dual cores can reach a stock speed of 2.4 GHz. Using Intel's Turbo Boost technology, the processor can increase its speed up to 3.0 GHz as needed. The fifth generation processor uses low voltage, which improves battery life. With a dedicated 4MB L3 cache, 8GB of 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM, and Intel Hyper-Threading technology, you'll be able to multitask between applications quickly and efficiently

The ASUS X751LX has a 17.3" IPS widescreen display with a matte finish, which makes it easier to use in brightly-lit environments. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1920 x 1080 native resolution, so you'll be able to play Full HD 1080p content natively without letterboxing. You can also output to an external display via the HDMI port

The ASUS X751LX has an integrated Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 LAN jack for a fast, wired Internet connection.
