As expected but not that universal

I have a hard time to attach it stably with my Godox flash light, but besides that, it works just as expected, making a softer light output on the subject. Remember to increase the output though.

Does not stay on flash

I have a Nikon SB800 and the softbox does not have enough structure to stay on the flash without drooping. I am returning it.

Nice compact, folds away

Folds away in a camera bag. Beats carrying bulky umbrellas. Looks more professional than tieing a handkerchief around your flash.

Works as a portable softbox for on and off camera flash. I got it for those situations where I can't take my large soft boxes. Works as I expected.

I really like it. Very light and produces some really soft light. There's an internal Velcro strap that will put a another white fabric strip in front of the flash to diffuse the light more. Mostly used on small product shots in conjunction with a macro lens,

Size is impressive for speedlite mounted but need to be close to subject to benefit as its still small compared to the average soft box.

question

Is it this softbox too heavy to use over the camera with out a stand ?
Asked by: ramon h.
No, the soft box it not that heavy, but it does sag down because the method of attaching it to the flash allows it to slip. The other issue I've had with it is the blocking of the iTTL sensor on the flash if you are shooting on camera. You will be need to purchase a remote sensor for you flash and place the sensor on the camera with the flash / softbox combo on the top of a flash bracket. You also need to plan on losing 2 stops of light up close and don't plan to use it beyond about 8 feet.

question

I shot with a DSLR, what size do I get?
Asked by: Anonymous
I chose a medium size for portability since everything I need must fit into my camera bag. I use it to soften the flash when shooting people at parties ie. snapshots etc.

question

there are small, medium, and large sizes.I intend to get the bigger sized but worried if it may block the sensor of the camera and/or block the lens, if this is mounted directly on the camera instead of a stand. Question: what the large sized among all of these that can work with the flash that is on the camera directly? Thanks much!
Asked by: Leonard
I only use the large when the flash is mounted on a bracket.
