Whether an enthusiast, pro, or discerning beginner, your photography gear deserves the top quality materials and craftsmanship found in the black Professional Series: Anvil 23 Backpack from Tamrac. The main compartment features padded, touch fastening dividers for storing and organizing your pro-sized DSLRs with attached lenses, extra lenses, and accessories. Opposite your stored camera gear are three, interior, zippered, clear, accessory pockets. A zippered, exterior, padded, front compartment has an inner sleeve for storing and protecting an up to 15" laptop or other device. Exterior pockets are handy for storing items such as sunglasses, mobile phones, maps, wallet, and other necessities. Side compression straps are useful for keeping your gear free from excessive movement.

Two, removable, adjustable, quick-release straps on the front of the pack are used for securing the legs of a pro-sized tripod, and work together with a lower accessory pocket, which is used for holding the tripod feet. Carry your Anvil 23 Backpack with the padded, grab handle or shoulder harness. For comfort and stability, the harness features padded, adjustable shoulder straps with a connector. On longer journeys, photographers will appreciate the added comfort provided by the removable hip belt. Both the hip belt, and the side of the pack have M.O.L.L.E System attachment points. In the event of bad weather, simply deploy the form-fitted rain cover.

Professional Series: Anvil 23 Backpack (Black) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Camper I purchased this bag because I needed a larger bag to carry a 300mm prime. I own a smaller Tamrac bag that has been a workhorse for years. I like both the features and quality Tamrac provides. There were many bags to choose from at this price level and I'm sure they all have redeeming qualities, I'm just a fan of these guys and this bag did nothing to change my mind. Keep in mind it's a bigger bag, can carry a lot of gear and can get heavy. So if you're in the market for a bag that can carry most anything, I don't think you'll be disappointed. When it's empty the bag is light, shouldn't be an issue for most folks except that, once again, it's a bigger bag. Hope this helps you out in your decision.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Needs Met It is always a compromise. I am medium build, 5'-8, 60-years old, landscape photographer hobbyist, who loves to travel. I want a backpack to carry-on the airplane (even fit under the seat if need be), hold most of my gear (DSLR, 50, 100, 24-120, 16-35, 70-300, flash+/-, Lee filters, etc.) yet still decent enough in the field. The field is really short hikes (< 5 miles) from car in generally decent weather. Not really backpacking anymore. While I love F-$top's construction I really just don't need it. I've tried to be realistic on my needs. The Anvil is deep enough to carry much gear efficiently. I may bring a lot on the plane but rarely will I be carrying ALL of it in the field. I can use some of the spare space for water, snacks, raincoat. Product quality is good, good enough. I've yet to see a system of rain cover that incorporates the tripod.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not comfortable for carrying gear Bad strap design with the straps thin but with a stiff inner liner and attached to far apart on the backpack to fit properly. Not at all comfortable for caring 15 lbs. of gear around all day. Laptop compartment has two layers of padding and so makes the backpack a lot fatter than it needs to be. No dividers so if you do not carry a laptop into the field then this area is wasted. Not a real tripod foot pocket but a long zippered pocket at the bottom of the back of the bag that can be used for a tripod but then it will be a great place to pickup dirt and water and leaves, and other debris while hiking. If you want to carry a water bottle then you need to buy the $ Tamrac M.O.L.L.E accessory water bottle holder and attach it to the backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing can fit more that I need! Although i'd be ready! I probably have too much stuff to pack for a causal trip out and about. But for an extended period of time out...this pack will carry it all including the MAC BOOK PRO. Two DSLR bodies, 70-200, 24-70, 60mm, 50mm, 85mm, two SB910's tons of batteries, recharges, memory cards and a reader battery packs for cameras (X2). One prob....sooooo much stuff, this is a pack my wife said she will not attempt to wear. Oh well...i have all my stuff! Happy happy joy joy!
