The beauty dish has a great quality and characteristic on its own, but when you add the honeycomb grid and control spill, it's fantastic. You can even use a diffusion sock over the grid and get a great balance of crisp, contrasty light and soft, diffused light. I can't imagine doing beauty work without this grid.
I constantly talk about loving and using grids. With a beauty dish, I can't even imagine using one without a grid. That's just me, but controlling spread and coverage in beauty and glamour is what it's all about when it comes to sculpting the cheek bones and having just the right contrast and wrap on the face. I also like the method used for attaching the grid tot he beauty dish. It's solid and secure.
