This is a well made bag that I expect to last for years. Camo color choices are good, and bag colors are true to the color shown online. Excellent in all ways.

Made of tuff stuff and quality workmanship, a perfect accessory for low perspective shots. Filled with Nyger seed, it provides perfect support and the birds will love you too!

It works

It's a bag and does a bag's job well. I've used it on damp sand and on other wet surfaces with no issues. My only issue is that the clasp doesn't feel as secure as it should be.

Looks and works great. Could have gone smaller, may just have to have both.

Great camera support and squirrel accessible

I have been using it to support a 400 f2.8 lens. It is a great support and very well made. I filled mine with black oil sunflower seeds. I had left the bean bag on my deck one afternoon and came out later to see some sunflower seeds scattered around. It appears that a considerate squirrel opened the zipper and helped itself to some sunflower seeds. I was grateful the squirrel didn’t chew through the bean bag.

I've only used it a couple of times so far but it works great using a 600mm lens shooting from my truck.

If the top strap is tightened so as to allow for ...

If the top strap is tightened so as to allow for the V configuration that clip will be right under your lens. This is a very poor design as it could scratch a lens that doesn't have a neoprene cover. Why put such a large clip on top of the bag?
Asked by: Lawrence
The clip is plastic and the edges are rounded, so its unlikely to scratch the lens barrel. Also, the strap is expandable and as such could be used to hold the lens/camera steady while shooting. However, if you still have concerns you can always clip it together under the sack, or leave it unclipped while the lens/camera are on the bag.

Is the strap long enough to wrap around the lens ...

Is the strap long enough to wrap around the lens effectively attaching it so it can be moved with the lens?
Asked by: Robert
Generally, the strap in the center of the LensCoat LensSack Beanbag Camera Support would not need to be wrapped around the lens in order to support it. The lens would simply rest on the Beanbag for support. Whether the strap is long enough to wrap around the lens would depend on the lens being used with it.

Thinking about using this on top of a foam apple box to stabilize a shoulder rig camera for long shots on a reality tv shoot as well as use it as a pad for sitting on the apple box, is this comfortable to sit on when filled with polybeads?
Asked by: Jimi
While comfort is subjective and may differ from person to person, the LensCoat LensSack Beanbag Camera Support (Black) would be compatible for your stated usage needs and should be relatively comfortable.

question

What is the internal volume of the lens sack?
Asked by: keith b.
If the dimensions of the beanbag are 19.5 x 11.5 inches (49.5 x 29.2 cm), then the overall volume is 224.25 cubic inches (1445.4 cubic centimeters). That converts to about 1.0 US gallon, specifically 0.971 gallon (3.675 liters). Anything more accurate than that could be provided by the manufacturer.

question

It looks like some of the beanbag camera supports come already filled and some don't. Does this one come filled? It doesn't state specifically, so I want to make sure. Thanks!
Asked by: Michelle
I fill mine with sunflower seed. Empty it later or anywhere for the birds. No littering.
