LensCoat LensSack Overview

Stabilize your camera on irregular surfaces like uneven ground, vehicles, or tree limbs with the LensCoat LensSack Beanbag Camera Support. Use by laying it flat to support a longer lens, or folded in half to provide additional height. Constructed from water-resistant Cordura in Realtree Max4, a nonslip grip material covers the entire bottom surface, as well as the gusseted edges, to minimize unwanted movement. The LensSack ships empty, allowing you to use separately-purchased poly pellets, dried beans, or even sand and dirt found on location. The YKK locking zipper withstands harsh elements, keeping the fill of your choice from leaking. A built-in adjustable strap doubles as a carry handle for added convenience when transporting in the field.

Is the strap long enough to wrap around the lens ...

Is the strap long enough to wrap around the lens effectively attaching it so it can be moved with the lens?
Asked by: Robert
Generally, the strap in the center of the LensCoat LensSack Beanbag Camera Support would not need to be wrapped around the lens in order to support it. The lens would simply rest on the Beanbag for support. Whether the strap is long enough to wrap around the lens would depend on the lens being used with it.

question

What is the internal volume of the lens sack?
Asked by: keith b.
If the dimensions of the beanbag are 19.5 x 11.5 inches (49.5 x 29.2 cm), then the overall volume is 224.25 cubic inches (1445.4 cubic centimeters). That converts to about 1.0 US gallon, specifically 0.971 gallon (3.675 liters). Anything more accurate than that could be provided by the manufacturer.

Thinking about using this on top of a foam apple box to stabilize a shoulder rig camera for long shots on a reality tv shoot as well as use it as a pad for sitting on the apple box, is this comfortable to sit on when filled with polybeads?
Asked by: Jimi
While comfort is subjective and may differ from person to person, the LensCoat LensSack Beanbag Camera Support (Black) would be compatible for your stated usage needs and should be relatively comfortable.

question

It looks like some of the beanbag camera supports come already filled and some don't. Does this one come filled? It doesn't state specifically, so I want to make sure. Thanks!

I fill mine with sunflower seed. Empty it later or anywhere for the birds. No littering.
