The center column can be replaced with the included short column to allow the tripod to reach a minimum height of 12.4". One of the legs unscrews from the tripod, attaches to the center column, and with the addition of an optional head converts to a monopod. Benro Mach3 TMA28A Reviews

Good base for a Seestar telescope

Heavy, but who can afford graphite? Nice that it does not have a ball head, making it perfect for my Seestar. The travel case for it is truly amazing - zippers and pockets for everything, and a shoulder strap.

Sturdy, smooth and though!

I love this tripod. I'm planning on purchasing more heads for it. I've never felt this tripod feel unsteady, or lose. It feels solid, is easily adjusted to match uneven terrain and is sufficiently light. I think it's a great value for the price and comes with a nice case.

I want to attach the monopod leg to an Oben ...

I want to attach the monopod leg to an Oben leveling head but the female receptor on the head is either 3/8" or 1/4" - much too small to accept the large male screw on the monopod leg. What's the fix?
Asked by: Tate
The Oben LH-2510 Leveling Base Head can fit the top of the monopod leg of the TMA28A, as the base plate of the tripod can be removed and added to it.
