question

The manual doesn;t make it clear which mode to use if a user just wants to insert drives into both slots and use them independently WITHOUT erasing any info on the disk. Which mode is for using this dock like a regular hard drive dock?
Asked by: James P
From the manual: In JBOD mode, the two disk drives function independently of one another. JBOD is an acronym for Just a Bunch of Disks. That's how I use it and it works just fine.

question

When set to JBOD, can you independently read and write to 2 different drives that have data on them already?
Asked by: michael y.
When you set to JBOD it treats it just like any normal drive reader. Pop in different drives and it will read them as is.
