FEISOL CT-3332 Rapid Reviews
Excellent option for hiking/backpacking
Very light, very compact, and very solid for its weight. When I first saw this I dismissed it out of hand because of the two-section center column. Then a friend bought one (against my recommendation) and I changed my mind when I saw it. Of course it's best to use it with as little column extension as possible, but even with the column jacked all the way up, it's still reasonably stiff, just needs some weight on the hook to keep it from getting tippy. I got it to use with an A6400 for backpacking (perfect for that), but find it adequate for my A7r2 with reasonably small lenses (f/4 standard zooms and primes, etc) when the choice is taking something light or doing without.
Good for backpacking
I purchased this knowing that it did not weigh much and was not very tall. combined with the Oben BE-108 head, the whole thing weighs 2 pounds 6 ounces. An improvement would be if Feisol made a short center column to replace the tall one it comes with.
