I'm looking for a tripod to use for VR use with an Kandao Obsidian. How high can this center column extend without making a large footprint- or do you have a different model that would be more appropriate for VR use?
When fully extended this tripod is about 54" tall. Preferably for VR shooting you want the camera to be about eye level so it is capturing the right perspective. So if you want the vantage point (eye level view) to be from roughly 54", this would be perfect, if not I would look for a taller tripod.
