The FEISOL VH-60 Horizontal Adapter Kit includes a 1.5" diameter column and adapter to convert your Large Classic or Elite tripod for horizontal use such as when shooting portraits, product shots, macro photography and copy stand shooting. The included extension column features a 3/8" reversible mounting screw for a photo head, and a weight hook to counterbalance the camera. Supporting approximately 12 pounds, the adapter screws onto the 3/8" mounting screw of your tripod, and features engraved markers and a locking knob for accuracy when panning the full 360° range.

I am doing 1:1 macro and need ultimate stability for overhead shooting. Can this work on my Manfrotto 055CX legs with a Sony 90mm macro and Sony a7riii?
The VH-60 is big, but it will fit the 055CX (I have this tripod). It is reasonably stable, I used it with a nikon d500 + 70-200 f2.8 for low level mounted on an upside down Acratech long lens head which in turn was mounted on an Acratech Ultimate head. There are limits and this will depend on the tripod (I use my RRS TVC-33 for greater stability) and a sandbag counterweight. Do not overtighten the locking handle, mine broke easily (Fisol were great and sent a replacement).

The VH-60HA can be used with your tripod but is not an ideal match - it would be oversized, Yody.
