Lowepro 250 AW overview

  • 1Description

Inspired by the urban landscape, yet at home wherever you may roam, the black ProTactic BP 250 AW Backpack from Lowepro is designed to store and protect your mirrorless camera with mounted lens, 3-4 extra lenses or flashes and accessories. Larger items are stored in the main compartment and organized with padded, touch-fastening dividers. Opposite the main compartment is a lid with two, zippered clear mesh pockets for smaller accessories, and a large CradeleFit laptop pocket for an up to 11" MacBook Air. The CradleFit terminology refers to how the interior padding virtually suspends stored items, thereby improving impact protection. A versatile pack, gear is easily accessed via the three-sided zipper on the front, back-entry, side pockets located one on each side, and turret-style top opening. This opening facilitates fast access to a camera as well as additional accessory pockets underneath the lid.

Carry your BP 250 AW with the padded, top strap or adjustable, padded shoulder harness. For added comfort and stability the shoulder harness features an adjustable chest connector and waist belt, each with quick-release buckles. Targeted comfort is provided with the ActivZone System, which includes three breathable back panels and central air channel to help dissipate heat and moisture. The gray-colored interior facilitates locating your gear in low light. Photographers will appreciate the SlipLock attachment strap system for attaching accessories such as pouches, and tripod straps. In the event of inclement weather, simply deploy the built-in, all-weather cover. Made of 900D and 1680D polyester, your BP 250 AW backpack is both strong and durable.

    Lowepro 250 AW reviews

ProTactic BP 250 AW Mirrorless Camera and Laptop Backpack (Black) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slim! Slim! Slim! What a slim & excellent Molle compatible camera bag!! Pros: 1. Slim. 2. Molle pouches fit. 3. Made with protective & hard materials. Cons: 1. Comes with a poor quality accessory pouch. It's very thin. Maybe good for 1 or 2 t-shirts or something that never breaks apart. 2. Small tripod cup size. This cup holds only one or two tripod legs depends on the thickness of leg. Mine doesn't fit at all. 3. Compatible with molle pouches but It's not a 100% molle bag. The pouch with one webbing strap will move left & right because of 2 & 1/4 size webbings. Attached pouches: Condor Sidekick Condor Outdoor First Response Condor Gadget Condor I Maxpedition Gear Cocoon OneTigris Water Bottle Holder for my tripod

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for Fujifilm X-T2 System I was looking for a backpack style bag for travel. I own a larger ProTactic 450, which is great for shooting skiing and other sports with a larger system. Both of these bags sit on the ground with the straps up (flipside style) keeping the straps out of the dirt. They can both be spun to your front and opened while attached to your body on the waist strap. I can fit the X-T2 (no grip), X100F, 10-24mm, 18-55mm, and the 50-140mm, along with batteries, small flash, etc. Very versatile bag. I have this set up to fit inside a Lowepro Whistler 350 backpack for plane travel. That way I have a smaller camera bag on location and a larger bag for other accessories/laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great backpack ! This the best backpack I have ever bought. Fits perfectly 2 Olympus bodies (EM1 + PEN F) plus 4 lenses(2 primes + 2 zooms)....and there's room !. Exterior finishings are really good, side access are quite useful and top access is a bit small but useful and easy to access. The rear access is A MUST to prevent thieves. Top handle and shoulder straps are well designed. Besides all the specs is well designed and looks nice, not the usual ugly photo backpack. A shame that a 13" MacBook cant fit but this not the main use of the backpack. Just if a bit of color were added would be great. Is not a big backpack I have to say. Got a great deal on Black Friday so I'm very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its great for aFujifilm X-T2 with the trinity lens combo This is an excellent and well made camera backpack. I've already used it on international travel and local photography expeditions. It perfectly fits the complete Fujifilm X-T2 with the trinity lens combo (XF10-24mmF4, XF16-55mmF2.8, andXF50-140F2.8). The only downside is that I cannot fit a Macbook Pro 13 into the pocket, but I prefer to pack that separately anyway.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Much too small Thought this bag would hold all of my camera gear including 3-4 lenses and accessories. Unfortunately it doesn't hold enough and has a real design flaw. You can't even put the camera in the top compartment if you have a strap attached which I usually do. I have a Peak Design slide light for mirrorless cameras. It's not bulky. Simply not enough room to close the top cover so you have to take the strap off. Poor design by Lowepro. First one of their bags I've purchased that I've been unhappy with. Very disappointed in this purchase. Will try to return but may not be worth the shipping costs from Canada back to New York.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag for Fujifilm XT1 camera I like the arrangement of the interior and shallow depth that is just right for the XT1 or XPro-1 camera. and all the lenses I have pls some accessories. I do not use nor like the side and top access hatches. I'd preferred Lowe dsigners had used this space to add zipped pockets. The bag is well made, padded well, and feels secure worn as a back pack. I do not like the sling bags. They are awkward to use and do not feel as comfortable to wear as a back pack. The bag is somewhat pricy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lowepro website gives inaccurate laptop dimensions I bought this bag based on Lowepro's webite listing the laptop compartment dimensions of 9.84 inches wide. My laptop is 8.5 inches wide, so it should fit, but it didn't in width. What Lowepro doesn't mention is that the laptop compartment is tapered from 9.84 to (measured by me) 7.5 wide. Height and thickness measurements on Lowepro's site seem correct. Not sure why Lowepro would do this as it didn't seem necessary when looking at the overall design of the bag. Based on the dimensions they list, it should fit many ultrabooks but it will not, only due to the taper at the end. Disappointing as the rest of the bag seems like it would be perfect for a mirrorless kit and ultrabook travel bag.
