Sennheiser G-Series Reviews
Perfect Fit
The factory installed antenna had lost the plastic coating from wear and tear. It was a simple matter to open the back and remove the transmitter module with torx screwdrivers. The interconnection is a ribbon cable that unplugs from the module after you slide back the keeper. Then it is just a matter of using a low heat soldering iron and braid to take the old one off. There is a video to show how. After the new antenna is soldered on and the flux cleaned off, just reassemble, making certain that the ribbon cable is inserted completely and the keeper pushed in to keep it in place.
Touring bands beware
Very strange shipping policy that requires signature no matter what. Shipped it to a venue a few days ahead on our tour schedule. Delivery attempted before anybody was at venue to sign for it. I called B&H at that time requesting that it just be dropped off with no signature required. It’s only a $10 antenna anyway. They told me it must require a signature. In other words, I won’t be able to ship it to a venue where someone isn’t there early in the morning to sign which is most of them. Seems really silly to me. Pretty disappointed with B&H
