Retired cable to use my Pixel mobile remote with my Canon 70D. I unfortunately purchased the wrong item with a N3 connector and not the 3.5 on my camera. Words to the wise, pay attention when purchasing that all parts fit!!Nevertheless, this solved to problem and works brilliantly! Arrived earlier than forcasted, and competitively priced.

The EOS R3 has the N3-type socket. If you are looking for a remote controller you will need i.e. the Remote Switch RS-80N3. With the R3 you can also go wireless and use the BR-E1.

No you don't, the 5D mk IV has a N3 type socket.
Depending on your shutter release remote. If it's an N3 type, it will just plug into the 5D, but if it's an E3 type(like a headphone jack) then you will need another adapter, not this one.
