$700 For A Plastic Case...! Yeah Right, Looks Like That Nikon Sticker On The Front Is Really Expensive!

Very cheaply made case

I have had the 500mm f/4 G and 600mm f/4 G lenses and the Nikon trunk cases provides with these two lenses were excellent. They were strong and reinforced at the corners and had an interior support for the lens as well as compartments for items like drop-in filters. They were most unlike this CT-608 case which is cheaply made and with weak hinges and weak latches and a single piece of support foam for the lens and no storage compartments for small items. I do not consider this case a good choice for safely transporting the Nikon 600mm lens and I will be buying a Pelican case with a foam liner to use instead.
