This Sensei 58mm Quick Clip Lens Hood is designed to mount quickly and easily onto your camera lens to prevent lens flare in your images. This two-part design allows you to leave the threaded ring on your lens and easily clip on the hood when needed, or easily reverse the hood when you find it unnecessary. This lens hood is for use with internal focusing lenses and non-rotating filters, and accepts center-pinch lens caps. To avoid any vignetting, the Quick Clip is best used with lenses above 20mm for 35mm format and with lenses above 15mm for APS-C format. In addition to keeping stray light out, it can help protect your lens and minimize accidental damage from everyday use.

You can! It has threads on the outside for 58mm filters, and you can also mount the hood to a filter attached to the lens directly.

The Sensei 58mm Quick Clip Lens Hood (B&H # SELNQC58) needs a 58mm filter thread to connect onto. If the outside-facing thread on your filter is 58mm, then you can mount this hood.

I checked the 50mm yongnuo, I think you mean this one, Yongnuo YN 50mm f/1.8 Lens for Canon EF
It has a Filter Size 52 mm (Front) not 58mm so you would need the Sensei 52mm Quick Clip Lens Hood

The Lens hood size goes by the lens filter size which is listed in all lens specifications on the B&H website.
So just check the filter size in the specs for whatever lens you have and use that to look for the correct Sensei lens hood.
