question
Should I be careful in choosing a v-mount battery - ie, which can withstand the current draw of these lights at 100%? Any recommendation?
As long as you stay within the operating voltage of the panel, you could use any V-mount battery from 95Wh and up. Using a 150Wh V-mount battery such as the BLUESHAPE BV150 GRANITE 14.8V V-Mount Lithium-Ion Battery (150Wh, 10.0Ah) B&H # BLBLSBV150 would be a solid choice in terms of run time. question
Can the Anton Bauer battery be charged with panel that comes with the Light Storm?
First the light you clicked on is for V-mount not gold mount but either way the battery plate can be used to charge the battery. You need a battery charger and attach the battery direct to it.

Is there some piece of lightstand hardware that ...
Is there some piece of lightstand hardware that would enable me to mount the LS 1 such that the yoke is horizontal (or, to put it another way, parallel to the floor)? I'm thinking like some 90 degree adapter. Aputure has two photos on their website showing this light mounted in that way - which seems the practical way to be able to tilt the light. Or is this maybe a C-stand function? I think this is the key light I need (corporate interviews in a spaces of varying size). Any experience or insight appreciated.
If you look at the second image in the listing you will see a hole in the receiver. That hole is for horizontal mounting. Sometimes you have to twist the receiver for it to point in the right direction.

question
Between this light and c120d which one is brighter?
The C120D would measure 14,003 lux at 1.6 feet while the LS1 would measure 30,300 lux at the same distance, making it the more powerful light of the two.

question
What is the total approximate weight of this light panel (controller box included)?
I weighed it myself after receving the item. The light itself is 2720 grams, the controller is 800 grams, and the power box is 650 grams. So if you are planning on getting a light stand and want the light and controller on it plan for 3520 grams or roughly 7.76 lbs (3.52 kg).
