The Mitakon Zhongyi Creator 35mm f/2 Lens is a classic wide-angle prime characterized by its bright f/2 maximum aperture, manual focus operation, and all-metal lens barrel construction. Designed for FX and DX-format Nikon F mount cameras, this lens features a seven elements in five groups construction that helps to minimize distortions and maintain sharpness throughout the aperture range. The f/2 maximum aperture also pairs with the rounded nine-blade diaphragm to produce smooth bokeh when using shallow depth of field techniques.

Mitakon Zhongyi Creator 35mm f/2 Reviews
35 mm
It is OK
Worst lens.....
I purchased this lens because of the positive reviews and it was the cheapest 35mm for Canon EF mount. The first copy from B&H was defective big time. Although there was a Quality Assurance certificate included in the package the aperture blades were assembled the other way around. So the largest aperture opening is f/22 and vise versa. I had to exchange this for another copy and in which anything above F/8 becomes quite noisey and smudgy on the viewfinder that focus becomes impossible. Further the camera looses contact beyond this point. Meaning no focus confirmation beyond f/8. There is no quality control for this lens whatsoever. Period. I had returned both back to B&H and ordered a Rockinon 35mm f/1.4. It could be a misalignment, poor quality control and all that but I don't recommend this product to anyone.
Careful
I purchased as a video lens for the R5 and R6 as it has the electronic contacts for focus assist. It doesn't work so it's not compatible with the R series of cameras as I also tried with my R. The aperture also doesn't come thru correctly so if purchasing as a video lens for the R series it works with focus peaking only.
Nice lens
Good contrast and image quality for the price
Did not love up to my expectations
I've owned a few other great Mitakon lenses for m43. This one had a few issues; - Very loose mount. The lens wiggles up and down, left to right and also twists back and forth, very noisy and effects the image. - Does not have a click-less aperture - The 35mm on this lens is a 40mm on my nikon zoom, I don't have any other comparison, but i really needed a 35mm like my other lens shows. -Overall, just overly bulky and heavy for what i've come to expect from other Mitakon lenses. Love your glass, the bokeh is so beautiful and oval-like, but this one just had too many issues.
An Almost Perfect Lens - Better quality control
I love everything about this lens, i've had the 25mm mitakon for m43. However the lens I received has a bad aperture ring. It moves rough and and random intervals gets caught, either dirt under the ring (which is odd because it is fresh out the box) or a quality control issue. Wishing Mitakon all the best!
The perfect manual lens to escape the digital feel
I've been using this lens on and off for about two weeks now and I find it incredibly liberating. It has forced me to shut off my tiny monitor (I shoot with a Canon EOS 90D) and trust my eye. I have some minor complaints with it but they are truly minor. Getting the focus perfect will take a new user some time but hell that's what manual is for right. For the price this lens is wonderful. I ignored some of the more critical reviews considering I usually don't trust an overtly good or bad one. I'd say if you are seeking a truly manual feel for your digital set-up try this out.
economico, no tan bueno
no funciona bien con la canon 6d, los contactos no son buenos.
